At the end of each year, I like to let my beard grow out. You can see the results from 2012 here and 2013 here.
Usually I only do it for two or three weeks, but this year I started in November when one of my clients convinced me to do a no-shave Movember. So here are the results of two months of facial hair growth. It’s by far the longest I’ve went without shaving.
Unfortunately (for me), the grays are starting to show, especially on the sides. In addition to the fact that I’m not a fan of the beard, I’m not planning to keep this look. I’ll be trimming it down extensively over the next couple of days and retiring it completely by the time I return to the office on the 5th.
After last year, I wasn’t sure I was going to do my end of year beard, but I figured I should let it really grow in this year. I wanted to do it at least once so I could see how it looks when it’s longer and thicker. Now that I’ve done it, I may retire the beard for a few years.
Either way, the shaving of the beard officially kicks off 2015. Happy New Year!
